R60 2013 Flat Load Floor Question
Don't bother going back to your MA. I already tried to get more of my MA's lunch money over this, a month after I received my car. Fred is right, but the statement that the flat-load floor differs depending on bench or split rear seats, needs clarification to avoid further confusion. The FLF is always the one that covers the well, and doesn't fold up against the rear seats. I was told, that with bucket seats, without the FLF, has the top floor and when it folds up against the seats, nothing will be covering the well. Hence, the $250 option to cover the well.
When ordering bench seats, you pay $250 for the FLF, but lose the top floor that folds up against the rear seats. (rip off!). After seeing Sealy's pics, I thought I had a good case until I reread a brochure and looked at my sticker. It was described and priced "correctly" enough where I didn't have a case.
Add me to FLF WTF list.

Went to a different dealer and got better answers on the flat load floor. With bucket seat option you get the single cover (see Sealy’s picture load1.jpg) that could be latched in the upright position (see Sealy’s picture load2.jpg), there by blocking the hole between the two bucket seats. With the buckets you could order the secondary cover that fit just below the standard cover (see Sealy’s picture load2.jpg). This secondary cover hinged to provide access to the storage compartment (see Sealy’s picture load3.jpg). The primary latching cover was not available when the bench seat was installed; but, on the pre 2013 models you could order the secondary cover at a price of $250. Starting with the 2013 models, all models with the bench seat option got the secondary load floor as standard equipment. All the Countryman at the dealer with the rear bench seat had the secondary load floor and did not show a price on the window sticker. On the 2013 with rear buckets you still get the primary cover that can be latched in the upright position. Cars with the rear buckets can also order the secondary load floor at the $250 price. The dealer did state that some very early 2013 models stilled showed the flat load floor as an option on cars with the bench seat and showed the $250 price on the window sticker.
Seems that if the dealers ordered a 2013 Countryman and did not check the box for secondary load floor the car would arrive with it and the cost was not added to the order. If they ordered the secondary flat load floor by checking the option the car showed up with the floor and the window sticker showed the $250 price. Seems it was a glitch in the order system and has been corrected. Another thing I discovered that I find strange is the cockpit surface option. On pre 2013 cars the cockpit surface (that little strip of plastic that run across the dash) was a $100 option; but on the 2013 model it is no cost, but there is a catch. You must specify either the piano black or checked dash surface to get the cockpit surface. If you don’t order one of those two option you do not get the extra plastic trim.
As for the removal of the secondary load floor, you just fold it over, lift up and then pull toward the rear of the car. It has two clips where the hinge is located that locks it in place and two tabs that hold the front down. You can see the bottom clips that hold the cover in place in this picture https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...3293-75985.jpg

Wow, waiting on my CM, talk about making something way more complicated than it needs to be. Its a piece of press board with some felt glued to it. When I originally built my 13, it was $250 for the floor and Sirius was free, when I finally ordered the car, the Sirius was $250 and the floor was free. BTW, they originally offered the Dual Pane as a $1000 option , now its part of option package 2 and cost $1250 but included auto wipers/headlights and climate control. Black standard wheels were free, now $100.
I figured my CM is about $500 less than a comparably equipt 2012

Option Two - I cranked up the Way Back machine and came up with this.
But honestly, I think I like the functionality of the upper floor.
What's more, I pulled the flat load floor out to get more vertical cargo height. Gladd I was forced to pay?
