Definitely consider the third seat. My kids do great back there (7, 9 and 11). I have the ALL4.

We just handled Back to School shopping....got it all in the Boot.

AS far as Fuel Economy...I have only taken one road trip...about 300 miles round trip...100 Interstate...50 Bendy Two lane...and vice versa..I had the Sport button on for the two lane...an of course it is a bit hilly here...I ended up with 29.9 according to the OBC.

Daily commute in traffic around 20.
