What length surfboard will fit?

Would somebody with a CM be kind enough to take out a tape measure and tell us what length surfboard will fit (with the back seats folded, and without interfering with shifting the manual trans)? Thanks.

My 6'-6" fish is about the max my Countryman will fit. However, the summer swell is here (yay!) so I'm riding my 5'-8" shortboard. My shortboard won't fit completely behind one seat or the other and it has to go between the front 2 seats. I drive a manual, too, and it neither the fish nor any of my shortboards interfered with my shifting at all.

If you want to fit one completely behind the front seat, I think it would be have to be around 5' long or less...

Happy surfing!!!

There is about 53 inches behind the front seats to the rear hatch door depending on how tall you are and how far you recline.
