how much of the glove box/dash did you need to remove to fish the wires through at that point?

Very little. There's a small separate trim panel that clips in between the dashboard and the passenger door; I removed that, and popped the clips on the piece that extends along the kick plate so I could run the wires down along the side of the car. Otherwise, I used a fish tape running from the battery side in until I got the end of it to poke out in a visible area inside. The dash and glove box were entirely untouched.
