All4 & electronic differential lock?

Hi motorers,

Does anyone knows if the All4 awd system includes the electronic differential lock feature or it is an option?

Thanks for any help!

I don't know of any selection that turns on/off electronic differential lock on the ALL4. The settings as I understand them are:
Dynamic Stability Control
Dynamic Traction Control
DSC/TC Disabled

Thanks for the quick reply!

So basically, All4 includes the electronic diff lock, right?

From the ALL4 in the snow thread, one interpretation is there is always EDL on:

Default: DSC on, which includes stability (yaw) control, and traction control. The system uses both brakes and throttle for control. Electronic differential lock (EDL) are subsets of DSC and are on. Limits driver control of throttle.

Press off once: DTC on, system uses brakes alone for both stability and traction functions, including EDL. Full driver control of the throttle.

Hold 3+sec. to disable DSC/DTC: Only EDL remains on to control wheel spin on left/right wheel of each axle. No stability functions active. Full driver control of throttle.

P. 58, owners manual, for Mini Countryman, all versions:

"Press the button for at least 3 seconds: the DSC
indicator lamps in the display elements come
on. The Dynamic Traction Control DTC and
Dynamic Stability Control DSC are both deactivated.
There will be no more stabilizing interventions.
Interventions (differential lock*) in braking
occur to improve propulsion when drive wheels
are rotating unevenly, even when the DSC is
deactivated."
