R60 New Guy
New Guy
Howdy from Texas. I have looked at Mini's for the past year and now am the proud owner of a Royal Gray Countryman.
A quick bit on me: Married 45 years to the same person, one son, two French Bulldogs, Vietnam Vet, rode motorcycles for 50 years and raced them for 20. Fanatical on engines, power, and handling.
Our car: All 4, auto, every option on the car except navigation. 18" wheels. Car was a demo with 4K on it. We drove it back from New Mexico and got 28 mpg. at 75-80 mph for the 300 mile trip.
I changed the oil today, the CM had 5K on the odometer. Dirty oil, yuk. The new Mobil 1 0w-40 was a much prettier color. The engine is much quieter and smoother after the change.
The run flats are okay after they heat up and I prefer them with less psi than most. I am running 28psi and they work well enough to use them.
I can't tell who likes the car more, me or my wife.
My son and I are headed to Dallas this weekend to see the game. Another 600 mile trip but we are looking forward to it.
I am looking forward to participating on the board rather than lurking as I have done for the past year.
