I ordered a flat load floor for ours. Now I'm not so sure I need it. All well at least I have it.

If he's wrong it's a very expensive mistake to fix, the boot liner on a car with the flat load floor is completely different from one with it, it would need to be replaced to retrofit it, I have looked into it myself but it's simply too expensive to make the conversion.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what gets delivered in the US with a bench seat.

Thanks much ElPatron7
You won't unless the adusts are midgets or asians, no way are three average sized North American adults going to fit across the back of a CM. MINI are not stupid enough to have an official photo.

ok ok ok....how is it different? is one larger than then other?
I don't think anyone would want to sacrifice too much storage space for the flat load. my order is still in "order" phase, but I doubt I or anyone else could change anying this late in the game?

Both the same size but the well when you have a flat floor has hard plastic sides to hold the weight of whatever you put in the boot.

To add a flat floor after production requires a new boot liner, it's stupidly expensive and takes several hours to fit. I investigated it, when I found out the cost I decided I'll just have to live with it.

KiwiRob - I don't know what your boot well looks like but you can cut out some plywood, wrap it in a black fleece blanket, put some feet on it and set it in to give you a floor. If you what you could also have it fold, but a few more feet.

My well has a lip the extra piece I made rests on. Same lip the standard back seat protector folds into. I can't fold down the original when using the insert.

My galley has some photos.
