I really don't get the unpleasant comments about other people's colors. It's not really in keeping with the spirit of NAM or MINI. A little joshing is one thing, but when somebody's brand new to the board, it's really easy to interpret a little bit of joshing as a plan old negative comment.
I almost went with Pure Yellow myself, albeit with a black roof. I liked the bee vibe. I didn't get any sense of green when I saw it in person, both indoors and in full sun.

Well, as the person who said acid green to begin with - - - it was just an observation on the strange nature of the color. If anyone took it as a serious slam, I'm sorry. But as noted later, most all the CM colors are odd. They take some getting used to and they get comments. It's just another thing that makes CMs unique. They're English, designed by Germans, and painted by Austrians. What's not to love?
Sealy - Who appreciates the odd - including a Pure Orange named Zaftig

In my defense you never said it was yours, you just posted a picture, sorry if I offended you, however if you changed the wheels to anthracite it would make a world of difference.

Sealy - your first "acid green" post made me laugh out loud.
I didn't think it was mean spirited at all. I'm sure I going to get plenty of comments that my cosmic blue isn't very cosmic blue at all. Just like your PR looking PO.I thought it was pretty funny anyway. Apologies to all if you think I'm promoting rudeness, not my intent.

@day-like-this - tires
the winter set are Dunlop M3 - take off from an E90. Work tremedously in snow, that same day I drove round the cubmaster who got stuck in his F150 - if only I had a rope I would have attempted to pull him out
The wheels they are mounted on are not exactly the right offset (they poke out a bit ) but I think they look pretty good (apart from BMW roundel I need to replace)

baby puke
I can say this as a proud Yelllow owner, in certain light the color reminds me of baby puke
BMW group has a habit I think of think of funky colors as Sealy so rightly pointed out in a previous post - saw a blue (cant recall which) CM and my wife remarked that it looked like they lobbed in some brown
Don't get me started on the metallic pee colored M3...

I keep looking at the Bright Yellow for my CM, but one thing that has held me back in my Hot Orange MCSc. There were a few times on impulse I nearly traded it in on a non-Mini. Each time the dealers took money off of the trade for having an orange car. The MINI dealers gave me extra for being a sought after and rare color. So I guess if I did go with Bright Yellow I might still be limited to Mini Trades and enthusiasts.... not a bad thing
Thanks Spaner-

Just had these rear stripes added...
I just had these rear stripes added to my CM. I think it is just what it needed. There's a guy here at Orlando Mini that does an amazing job with virtually any customization you could want.
I almost went with with Yellow Black and had I got a sunroof would have matched that combo
The color is definitely an acquired taste and I do think it has a bit too much green in it (as a former liquid yellow owner I mourn that colors passing)
anyway here are some picture of mine, clean and in action in the snow

OOOH, this looks like the combo I got except that I got the anthracite wheels! So excited to see some pictures. I love the yellow but there aren't many photos out there of them!

Another new member here. Ours is a Cooper, looks just like the OP photo, including the wheels. Name is Mini Y.
White wheels will be hard to keep clean, but they look great. I was disappointed the VPC or dealer installed a front license plate holder, even though we don't have front plates in New Mexico. So I put on a black Cooper plate and ring. Looks classy.

I have grown very fond of the Bright Yellow.... not as nice as the millennium yellow that was on my '02 Corvette, but still I like different colors. Had I figured out how he/she was able to get white tunnel spokes, I might have ordered the Bright Yellow.
