Just talked to my dealer and my CM should be on their lot Saturday and in my hands next week. According to them, it will be the first 2012 CM west of the Mississippi (I live in MN and am within walking distance of the river).

I first decided to buy one back in May. However, I wanted nav, which we all know was a no-go back then and they told me to wait for the 2012 ordering to begin, which I did.

So, I've been waiting for this for longer than nearly anything I can remember in the last 15 years or so.

No sunroof - I am 6'4" and hate losing headroom to sunroof mechanisms.

 

That's great news! My MINI journey was very similar to yours. I started looking in April, knew I wanted one by May, but had to wait because of the Connected/NAV shortage before ordering one in July. My CMS should be at the dealer sometime next week.

 

Congrats on your approaching delivery! Had mine for a couple of months and we love it....the wait was just as bad!
P.S.- I am 6'2 and the sunroof isn't close to my head, I have more headroom than in my wife's Traverse!
