R60 400 miles on one tank!
I get only 226 per tank, with No sport button. Driving in traffic all day long NYC, Queens, bklyn.
Just returned from a trip from Minneapolis to Chicago and back.
On the 1st tank, went 394 miles (filled 12.11 gallons). 32.6 MPG.
On the 2nd tank, went 374 miles (filled 11.06 gallons). 33.8 MPG.

I am on vacation this week and it's one of my first longer highway trips and we averaged 32.2 mpg! I was surprised and delighted. I should be able to go home on the same tank as we drove up on. $38 in gas for vacation, Check!

Thanks,
I check my mpg every fill-up and I have been averaging 31.8 to 32.5 mpg on my "2007" copper "S" (stick shift) driving highway and city combined. Daily run to work is 64 miles round trip plus add a few extra miles for running around town at lunch. I always calculate my mpg with receipts and then compare with the computer and I am right there.

...
- Get a printed receipt from your fill-up and write the current odometer reading on it;
- Write the trip odometer reading on the receipt;
- Note the fuel's AKI rating on the receipt (if not already listed);
- SAVE the receipt;
Before leaving the pump:
- Reset the trip odometer to zero;
- Record the computer's MPG figure;
- Zero-out the computer's MPG figure;
- (Optionally) Record the computer's average speed figure;
- Zero-out the computer's average speed figure (must do);
I also don't have my values stored anywhere yet, just on a receipt. I'll have to start trying out a spreadsheet.
What speeds are you guys averaging on the highway and in the city.. I'm usually going 78 (if I'm just cruising, otherwise around 80-85) on the highway and anywhere from 35-60 (45-50 avg) in the city, depending on the road of course. Speed plays a big part in gas mileage as well.
For those of you without your car in your sig, what model(s) are you driving to achieve these figures?

If you have an Android-based phone, a friend recommends Mileage. I haven't used the app so I can't comment on it beyond the single recommendation, however.
Well I check mine last week and this was the results, (combined city/highway) 380 miles and still had 58 left in tank. I also checked the mileage the old fashion way by calculating gallons / mileage, the mpg was 31.7 mpg not much of a difference.

Good job on the mpg! We just did nine states in five days and averaged 31 mpg. The best I have gotten was 33.4 mpg. I took delivery at the end of May with 17 miles and we are over 6700 now. It's an amazing car!
Just drove our very full (4 people, loaded cargo area, and a crammed ski box on the roof) Countryman ALL4 from Calgary, AB to Kelowna, BC and the trip odometer read 600 KM and computer estimated an additional 40 KM until empty.
640 KM = 397.7 mi.
The computer also estimated the consumption to be 7.2L/100KM which is the equivalent of about 33 MPG.

I noticed that Mark mentioned that he couldn't set the cruise control b/c he is breaking his mini in. Is there a rule about not using cruise during break in time? Just got a new '11 and don't want to do anything to mess things up.
It's not actually the use of the cruise control that is advised against, it's keeping the engine at the same rpm for an extended amount of time. I've always used the cruise during a car's run-in period, I just vary the speed +/- 5 mph every 10 minutes or so.
