Countryman iPhone 4 Charging

Just picked up my Countryman S yesterday and I am in love with it. Wondering if anyone here knows of a cable that I can use to charge and also play music with. My MA told me the cable that came with my car only allows me to play music and not to charge the phone while in use. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

The cable that comes with it also charges the iPhone 4. At least mine does. If they changed that for some reason, like to force you to buy their cradle, that would just be mean.

Mean is letting people with their heads up their tail pipes give advice to MINI customers.

I just picked my car up last Wednesday & the cable does charge my iPhone 4 as well as my iPod Classic 120GB.

How can one get that cable? The one that came with my 2010 Clubman doesn't charge.

Is it the dual cable or simply a headphone jack cable? The pigtail cable that has a Dock connection on one end and splits to a USB & 1/8" jack will charge. If they gave you a headphone-headphone cable, then it won't charge.

If you have a pigtail and it's not charging, take it back. I have the suspicion those are going to start failing in large number as the flexing they take in plugging and unplugging around the brake connection starts to wear on them.
