Has anyone ever gotten the auto dimming mirror installed after getting their Mini? Does anyone know if they wires are in the header but just not hooked up? I put a deposit on a new CM S that was on its way to the dealer but looking over the specs I noticed this was something I wanted in a new car.

When I toured the MINI factory last year, they said each car had its own specific wiring harness with only the ordered options. Apparently they were wasting a lot of wire in the first few model years by having a single wiring harness across all orders. The Countryman could be different, but I wouldn't count on it.

 

You toured the Mini factory....color me jealous!

 

Should be an easy hook up. just get some wire and the mirror :D
