Window Tint Brands - What is good and what is crap?

I should be picking up my Countryman in the next 1-2 weeks and one of the first things I would like to get done is the windows tinted.

One of the local window tinting stores near me uses Formula One Pinnacle Series window tint. Is this any good or is it crap? Site states the following about it:

"The advanced technology utilized in manufacturing the Pinnacle Series provides a proprietary non-metallized, non-conductive, ceramic technology film with maximum heat reduction, maximum ultraviolet rejection, excellent optical clarity and blockage of infrared rays."

It's very good. Formula One Pinnacle Series is a ceramic tint which is high end compared to traditional tint. Formula One is a division of Llumar, which is one of the better tint co. Ceramic tint is better if you want very good heat and IR reduction, and also lets you go with a lighter tint while still receiving as good of protection as a darker traditional tint. It also look of a much higher quality close up, because it is thicker. Trade off is it cost usually a lot more than traditional tint, sometimes twice as much.

If you decide not to go ceramic, the better tint co. are Llumar, 3M, and Solarguard.

I just had the Pinnacle ceramic put on yesterday. I've heard good things so I hope it holds up as well as they claim.

I got the F1 Pinnacle Series ceramic when I got my '10 MCS last year ... it works great, looks fabulous, and appears to be high quality material. I am also in Arizona, tint is obviously a big deal here! It wasn't exactly cheap, but I am very happy with it.
