I did euro delivery a few years ago, and they installed a plate on the front.
When I got the car in Fla, i found this site that color matches plugs to fit the holes.
www.bumperplugs.com

hope it helps....

2 small screw holes in the bumper? I wouldn't worry about it. Most any cosmetic imperfection can be easily corrected with a miracle substance known as "Silicone."

Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it. FYI - Ga does not require a front tag. I wouldn't worry about it if we did, but seeing as how I don't have anything going over where the holes are.....

Which dealership did you buy from? I am currently awaiting my 2nd MINI from Global. I emailed my MA the other day and told him to please note that I don't want dealer stickers or front bracket and he told me that they don't do that on ANY car. They only install front bracket if the buyer is from out of state and resides in a state that requires one.

I'd prefer not to mention the dealer since they are stepping up to the plate to get it fixed. They would probably buff out the scratches if I asked them to, but I prefer to do that myself, so I didn't bring it up.

My suggestion would be that if you don't want that done, you specify when you order, or at the very least, if it has been done when you pick it up, make them fix it. My hope is the repair job done by the "touch up" guy will not be noticeable. The idea of having to take a brand new car to a body shop really sucks.

Those bumperplugs look pretty good.
You could always get a Europlate for the front. I put mine on with double sided tape and it stayed on for years. The holes would be hidden behind the Europlate.

Does GA issue 2 plates even though they only require one? Seems redundant....

No, only 1 plate. You don't get 2, and it is not required on the front of the car, nor do they offer it.

Texas requires a front plate, but I've never taken delivery of a new car with a bracket mounted if I've asked them not to place one. I've had two tickets (no moving violation/tax) for no front plate in around 15 years, I can live with that.

So it was all about you motoring their billboard around... They should be paying you for the advertising.

the local MINI dealership does the same thing here . . . mounts the dealer tag on the front with shiny chrome. I am glad I got mine from a dealer a bit south so I never had to deal with that.

jklotz....

Did you order from Global? I don't want holes in my front bumper when mine arrives next week! I've bought cars from the BMW side, and they've never done that.

What stickers do I have to worry about?

Telei, just call them and say when your car arrives, you won't accept it if the holes are drilled into the bumper. I didn't get my car there, but surely they would respect that. Mine didn't have any stickers or other dealer badges on it, just the license plate thingy.

Smile WA State Has a Front & Back License Plate

My dealership (Northwest MINI) was great and the MINI Club I joined steered me right. No front license plate holder was put on my Countryman. I had GOMINIGO for the front license plate and it looks great. I have it on the front passenger side of my Countryman, and it almost hugs the front bumper and does not look out of place at all. I am extremely happy with it.

I bought my MCS used and apparently the previous owner didn't have the front plate on it. The dealership I bought from took it upon themselves to mount the plate and advertising frame directly to the bumper, even though the plate bracket was in the boot. The started a screw into one of the dimples, but since the plate wasn't long enough for the other plate hole to match up to the second dimple, they put the screw through the bumper where the hole was. Not only did I have holes in the bumper, the plate was off center. Since CA requires two plates, I put the bracket on and it covered the odd hole. The intelligence of the average dealer employee amazes me.
