AFAIK, installing/activating the rear fog light on a Countryman (in the OEM position - tail light cluster) also requires a change to the VO string in the CAS/FRM computer modules. Looks like you may have grafted-on a non-Countryman RFL and wired it into the circuit????
It's an R58 factory RFL that I tapped into factory fog light wiring. Currently it's wired to come on w/front fog lights, but can easily be changed over to an independent switch set up. I did it for the simplicity/functional factor.

Awesome - but what are the clear lenses on the side for? Pretty bright so I think I would want to wire mine on a stand alone switch. Good job though. Thanks again. Barry

The clear lenses are for back up lights.
And YES in clear weather it would be extremely obnoxious. I use it when on some of the desolate hwys and country roads especially late night coming from gigs - keeps the drunks in check.
