Howdy, from the Mile High City
Howdy, from the Mile High City
Last friday I ordered an R56 MCS lightening blue / black. I'm excited about getting this new little go cart, but also a bit apprehensive about giving up my 04 330xi. The 330xi is a beautiful automobile, but the steptronic (automatic) leaves me bored and wanting much more...
Thus, I started looking at, and drove, GTI, A3, and even an MX5. The GTI wasn't bad, but I just couldn't get into the somewhat bulky and plain body style and the GTI had lot's of under car road noise. The A3, had a great interior, good 6MT, excellent 2.0 turbo, but handling wasn't anything near what i was hoping it would be and the styling just is a bit bland as well. The MX5 (Miata) had the best 6MT of all, awesome, handled great, adequate power, but very little room and just not practical for everyday, year around driving.
Then the MSC. I love the looks, great nifty handling, desent 6mt, good turbo, fun, sporty well proportioned overall package, just enough hatchback storage and excellent fuel economy. Though i'm not crazy about the dash layout and some of the gimmicky and quirky interior controls. But I guess that's a Mini...
Anyway just wanted to say hi to everyone. I really enjoy reading up and learning more about the Mini from this site.
Lastly if anyone has some pix of a R56 lightening blue / Black top i'd love to see them.
Again thanks for reading and happy motoring.
