My fronts never dripped, although I know some have. My rear washer dripped a very small amount before I ever used it, and then when I used it it went away.

So far, so good...
Same here. I ran nearly all of the washer fluid thru the system and refilled with water weekend before last. No more yellow stains. I'm relieved.

Mine dripped regardless of whether I used the washer or not. I haven't had a chance to give Guinness a good wash since my last road trip, but I think that it hasn't dripped any more for a while now. I think it was just cosmoline like my SA said, since it was a lot dripping at first and eventually dwindled down. I think you would have seen some by now since mine showed up on the way home from the dealer. You are probably in the clear!

ARGH! I now have a stain. It cropped up sometime overnight as it was not there yesterday. I washed my car this morning and there it was.

Rubbing alcohol did NOT take it off.

It's very odd, actually, and I'm not convinced it's from the washer. It is directly between my rear MINI badge and the chrome hatch opener lip. There is nothing above the badge.

But if it's not from the washer, what's it from? The badge itself?

Well today, with a good wash, I confirmed just a tiny drip after a few weeks being dirty. So I guess Guinness' back washer is just about potty trained by now!

MLWagner79: My drip did end up below the badge as well, but the alcohol took care of everything. Hm. Sounds like yours is something different. Have you tried to clay it off? If it doesn't come off that way, my next thought would be a bug & tar remover. I'm not sure what to do if that doesn't work though - but I guess you probably will have called the dealer by then!

I hope you find a way to get it off soon!

Bummer. I washed Flo yesterday afternoon and found slight evidence of yellow stains along the bottom of the door and inside the bonnet where the hood meets the fenders. I'm thinking it was the cosmoline coating that the dealer didn't catch during make ready. It all came off with a little elbow grease. So far, no more staining around the back wiper.

i'm afraid to post because I might jinx myself, but here goes. i've had Grover for a week now and so far haven't seen any drips or dribbles. i haven't used the washers, though. in fact, there was a fine dust on the windshield today that I could have used the washers for, but it didn't really neead it so I didn't... hmmm silly, huh?

well, i think i did use the back washer once by accident. i has rained a fair amount and i have used the wipers, though. Grover is quite dirty, though, so gets a bath tomorrow. i'll see if there's any spots and report back.

guess I need to try those washers out eventually!

mini_dreams: I wouldn't worry about trying out your rear washer. Mine dripped even though I didn't use the washer, so I would think that if you haven't seen any by now, you probably don't have the trapped cosmoline in there like I did. I noticed my first dribble after the drive home from the dealer without using the washer (I've only used the washer maybe 2-3 times since I've had the car). The stuff kept showing up every day for the first three weeks without any use. So I think it's something that if you have it, you'd know it by now! Don't stress about it, I think you got lucky!!

thread back from the dead!

okay, so I started noticing the dreaded dribble on the back of my boot... just below the window wiper and above the MINI logo, stain city. ughh.. and this is after having the car for about 4-5 weeks with just one instance of it. so, instead of cleaning, i went up to the dealer and they said they would install the check valve (I had asked for this at delivery and my MA said they didnt' do it automatically... uh... why not?)

anyway, it is in now, so we'll see if it works. hope so.

oh, and they cleaned the stain off. they wouldn't say exactly how... i'm not sure I really want to know either. just that it's gone and stays gone!

I too had the back dribble 4-5 weeks after I got my MINI. It has only happened once though and it cleaned up really easily. It doesn't look like it stained either, but Milo is red so it wouldn't show up as easily as it would on white.

I hope the check valve worked for you and that you won't have any more potty training problems.
