Hi all … just picked up my new 06 MCS and wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I debated long and hard about waiting for the 07 (or is it 08?) model but decided to get the 06, as there are things about it I like better than the new one. Mostly a standard car, chili red w/white roof, s-lite wheels, all packages (except the convience & JCW package’s), craven 15% pulley, K&N air intake, auxiliary gauges (boost & amp), I will build my own SS exhaust system after the car is broken in and I have more time. I had been looking for a Porsche SC to replace my 92 325Ci that’s going to my daughter for her first car and dropped by to test a Mini as a lark. I was hooked instantly and a week later took delivery. So far, except for the extremely poor lighting on the S/W boost gauge, the car has been great; trying to keep it under 4K rpm for break-in has not been much fun though. That’s more than I intended to write, so except to say I did join the local club (MNMINI), I will say this site looks great and I will enjoy exploring it.
