I'm new to the forum and just saying hi. I've had my BRG MCS now for several months and I'm loving it. And I never even liked to drive before this...

I've been noticing a strange sound eminating from my exhaust system (I think). Sometimes when I decelerate quickly (accelerate hard and then let the foot off the gas pedal) the exhaust seems to give off a popping or burping sound. It reminds me of the pops you hear from a chopper's exhaust (although not nearly as loud). Just curious.

Any ideas??

It's normal. Do a search on "burble".

Haha, I had this same concern when my car started making that sound (it's more pronounced now after the breakin period is almost up) and I already KNEW about the burble!

I guess I just thought of the burble as the throaty growly MCS exhaust sound, but I hadn't really heard it before! You'll really get an earful if you sit your car in neutral, revv the engine a bit, and let off. It's great! I think I keep surprising people on the street when they think a Harley is going to come driving by and it's a MINI instead.
