Hello from Scotland !!!

Hello to all out there!

Been on/off your site for a wee while now, and thought I would register today!

Your canyon trip sounds amazing and I wish I could come!!!

Anyway, I own a Mini Cooper S, in Indi Blue - it has very unique graphics on it - I'll try to see if I can post a pic to let you see....

and now, with new aero kit, spotlights, etc on...

Hope to get out to America within a few years and get on some of those amazing roads! (I know, you're probably thinking I'm from Scotland and have some good roads too - which we do!!!)

Anyway, thanks for reading and I'll keep nosing around your site!!!

That is an absolutely gorgeous MINI!! I met a few Scotsmen when I did the Italian Job touring event in 2004. Great lads! We could hardly understand a word they said, but when we did, they were funny as hell and very friendly.

Happy motoring!

Nice MINI!

Yeah, been to the Western Highlands many years ago. Great back roads and scenery. I can remember the fish and chips... and the single malt.

Welcome. great looking mini you have there. My wife and I toured the Highlands last spring. We loved Inverness, but it was the Isle of Skye that stole our hearts. I think if we could manage it we would retire there. I've traveled through out this crazy world and I must say the Scots are some of the friendliest folks on the planet.

Thank you all for your welcoming comments!

Anytime any of you are coming over to Scotland, give me a shout and you could maybe tag along on one of our local runs! or we could offer advice, etc on some beautiful places to stay, things to see, etc!

Anyway, thanks again!

I am just realizing what the Flying Scotsmini reminds me of (because of the color scheme): The Jaguar D-Types that won at LeMans in 1955-56 in the Scots colors.

We just visited Scotland

We were there for 12 days. Had a lovely time. We did everything from driving ourselves (um... interesting to say the least, but it didn't result in a divorce...), using the trains and buses and a LOT of walking. We did a huge circle around the country and really enjoyed it. We were there late May/early June. I think I liked every part except Ft. William, but that was probably due to it being near the end of our trip and we were tired. Skye was beautiful and the history! oh my, my daughter, the history buff of the family loved all the history. Our experience was really good. I hope if you get to the US your experience will be as good as ours was there.

Yeah, we need more international flavor! The Aussies don't come 'round enough, and I guess the Euros are sleeping.

Gill, Welcome to NAM and that is an amazing looking ride! I was briefly at the submarine base in Faslane a few years ago when I was in the Navy, and absolutely loved it there!!

That run looks great ... wish I was there

We're going on a run tomorrow as well (in Scotland, obviously) - we are doing the Argyll & Bute circle which takes in Glencoe, Oban, Loch Lomond shores, etc! It is a great run and we're really looking forward to it!
