Mini on order. The wait IS exasperating. I have always bought cars right off the lot but since we (the wife & I) aren't trading, it was a great opportunity to get exactly what we wanted. This is mainly her car but I do all of the driving when we are together, so I'll get my share of seat time. We chose most of the options together so it's sure to satisfy both of our individual driving needs. The only option that I could do without is the Steptronic Tranny. Oh Well...worse things have happened..I just can't think of any right now. Our new addition will be coming in the form of a:

No Leather-Leatherette holds up so much better to Dawg Claws

I keep reading how Mini owners absolutely LOVE their cars. If I'm half as pleased with this car as most every Mini owner seems to be, I'll be thrilled. I figure we'll be making a lot more trips to the mountains of VA & NC...starting SOON, I hope.

I got leatherette for puppy too--wasn't considering leather, but decided against cloth because leatherette is easier to clean and vacuum!
