Hello Everyone!!! Having trouble......

Hello, Im newly registered to this site even tho Ive been reading posts for the past 2 mos since I bought my 03 Mini. Ive tried to post but am having trouble. Ive a question on my Nav system. The dealer in Winston told me my nav was cd and Id need to purchase cds for a trip to the midwest. I didnt and my nav worked the entire way!!! I noticed however that it doesnt offer me any info on resturants, hotels, things to see ect. Can anyone please explain this to me? Thankyou all so much. and Im glad to be registered here.

Hello biz and welcome to NAM. I can't help you with the Nav questions, but you'll definitely have better luck if you post this in the Navigation & Audio

The restaurant, hotel, etc. function is typically referred to as Points of Interest (POI). I wasn't aware that the Navigation system for the MINI offered a POI function, which was one reason that I passed on the option. Does the manual for the Nav system mention POIs?
