Bucket Seat Whoas

I absolutely love my sweet little Mini - HOWEVER I'm having trouble with the "bucket seats". My right knee/leg aches after 15 minutes of driving. It's like the "bucket" is too deep and it cuts off my circulation (maybe pressing on a nerve..not sure). I've tried everything to adjust the seat - nothing seems to help. Any thoughts out there?????

Hi, I had almost the identical problem when I first began driving my Mini. I simply went out and bought a small rectangle of thick density foam (wide enough to go from the back of my seat...to end at just about mid thigh and presto! It raised my knees just enough to stop the ache. I'm 5' even and this seems to help me. Hope it's an idea that will work in your case.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try and let you know how it works.

Mmm, good topic... I have been tossing and turning between upgrading to the sport seats on my cooper from the regular seats. As of now, i have them in there, but it seems people talk about discomfort with both... I guess I'm just really trying to realise if spending another $300 on the sport seats is worth it if they are going to be just as uncomfortable as the regular seats...

i would try the foam support. I get some ankle discomfort after driving my mini initially. My foot actually catches the ceiling of the pedal area. :(

i tried shifting the seat back and also adjusting the angle of the seat. you'll have to get somewhat accustomed to sitting upright. I found it actually more comfortable than in my other cars. lots of trial and error and heaps of adjustments but its all good.
