I just got off the phone with the insurance settlement people, and the offer was completely fair... so now instead of paying a little to trade my Subaru for a MINI, I'm actually *making money* on the deal.

I mistrust this much good luck. I keep expecting to get struck by lightning or something now...

So if you had a brand new MINI Cooper, and about $2000 extra cash that fell from the sky, what kind of mods would you be thinking of?

Depends what you want to do really. Me, a new Snell-05 helmet for Solo-2 events, maybe some graphics.

Yikes! Sounds like it worked out okay in the end. I went to test drive a MINI at Herb Chambers a year ago and they were more interested in selling me a BMW than helping me out at all with the MINIs...

Sounds like everything worked out just fine for you. Congratulations on the Mini and on the luck from something that could have been a very expensive misfortune!

If I had $2k sitting around after getting my Mini, I would put the H-Sport springs/sway bars on it and get some nice looking 18" wheels... oh wait, that IS what I am planning on doing, lol.

Just spend some time on this site and you will quickly have that $2k spent. Some popular mods seem to be:

Suspension first...
New Anti-Sway bars
Springs, camber kits, shocks, etc

Power mods...
Pulley Pulley Pulley :-)
Intake, Exhaust

Other mods....
Tint, Aero kit, painted arches and body trim, racing seats, graphics, etc.

The possibilities are endless, so just do some reading up and like I said, you will have that $2k spent in no time!

Yes it goes on the supercharger. I thought I read that you were getting an S, sorry about that.

Most of it will still apply though, there seems to be plenty of good information in the Cooper forum as far as exhaust, intake, etc. :-)

Has your MINI gone into production yet? Is it too late to add the Sport Supension Plus bits? Or better yet the JCW suspension bits?

Some day when I have exta CA$H... I want to get a set of SSP sway bars and springs. Other priorities now.
