Ordered 2005 MCS w/production number, June 20, 2004
Built: August 4-8, 2004
Sat at South Hampton docks nearly two weeks
Dodged Hurricane Ivan, delayed three days
Arrived VDC Port Hueneme: September 17, 2004
Left VDC: September 27, 2004
Delivered: October 2, 2004
Just under 9 months (and two model years) from name on list to one happy motorer.
But then I live in the furtherest point of delivery for BMW's western division (CO) so my car not only had to go thru the canal and up to CA, the transport then backtracks 1,000 miles east to where Denver cars are last off the truck (after Salt Lake City.)
