This event is for a weekend trip to the dragon. We are going to be leaving charlotte @ 7:30am in the morning to go to Fontana village where everyone will be staying. I will be staying in the camp ground, Cheaper. ... We will run the gap though out the day and hit up foothills park way. Its just a night get away to enjoy the gap. As of now i have about 9 people going, a few bikes and just a few different cars. If anyone is interested, please PM me for more details... There's one in every crowd! I know - do a search. I'm just curious since I've lived in NC most all my life & have only just recently heard of it. I know its somewhere near the NC-TN border in the mts but I'm just curious as to what highway it is & what town(s) its near.

 

it is near the fontana dam and fontana village or about 20miles from robinsville and the highway is us 129. the dragon is 11 miles with like 318 curves and this year i got to slay it at only 15 years of age iot was awesome you should go drivit. and it is at the end of 28. hope this helps!!!

 

Thx. I definitely need to check it out. I hit some pretty twisty roads in the Mts last weekend & had a ball, but this sounds like the ultimate...
