My MINI is still in Cali as of yesterday. My MA says that it will be in Fife 5-22!

You are getting close. When did your car come off the line?

Oh man! What a fun weekend. We picked her up on Saturday and drover her around a bit then headed home. We decided we needed to make a weekend for it so we told the kids to pack a "small" overnight bag and we headed over the mountains. We drove the whole Cascade Loop (about 400 miles) I think including two mountain passes. It was beautiful and the weather was outstanding (uppper 70's low 80's). Of course had the top down the whole way. I must say though that the break in period is going to kill me. The car just begs to be driven faster and in the upper rev ranges. I can't wait till we hit the magic 1,200 miles! Got her home last night and washed off all of the bugs and dust and she again looks beautiful. Funny thing was our 4 year-old kept whining that he was cold (even though it was nearly 80 degrees). Turns out it was the wind that bothered him! Anyway, he is adapting and will need to "conform" to open air motoring. With the top down the car is much quieter than the miatas I've driven and still quite rigid. No complaints. We did almost have some idiot total us out from the rear at one point. We were signaling to make a turn at an intersection off of a highway and heard the squeeling of tires from behind. I turned to see a ford ecort in full lockup miss us by about 10 feet! The idiot obviously wasn't paying attention or he was gawking at the car. Whew! That was close! Anyway, we are in love and can't wait to put more miles on her.
