The MINIs made me do it...

Been lurking for a few months, finally signed up so, umm...HI.

Here's my story.
All it took was one fateful day to make the decision to buy a MINI, I had been going between buying '68-'72 truck or an MCS. One night I had made the choice to buy an old truck, the next morning I go out side and the very first car I see was a PW/B MC. This was also the only time I've seen that MINI around my house. Well throughout the rest of the day I see a total of 8 MINIs on my drive to & from work in Cerritos, I never see that many, 2 or 3 maybe. When I got home that night I go to MINIUSA and put together yet another MCS and said forget the old truck I'm getting a MINI. So I sold my El Camino, and placed my order last week. Now I have a motor from the El Camino and I'm driving my dads old work truck, till my MINI gets here. I can't wait! Oh, got a call today and got my production number!

I placed my order with Long Beach MINI (quoted 4 1/2 month wait) This is what I have coming:
MCS
PW/B
Sunroof
Cold weather package
Chrono Pack
Tan leather
DSC
LSD
F/R fog lights
Xenon

Welcome!

4 1/2 month wait ?!? LB Mini told me the same thing and after 2 1/2 weeks they called me up and asked me if I was ready to order. So hang in there, they may actually call you early.

You should also check South Bay MINI in Torrance. They may have a shorter wait list.

Welcome to NAM!

Long Beach MINI called me yesterday with my production number. They said delivery should be mid to late july. Now I'm starting to really get excited!

That same sort of thing happened to me when I was thinking about getting a MINI. For about a week everywhere I drove I saw MINI's. I usually only saw a few a week. I am lucky enough to have a dealer in the same city so I thought I would stop by on a Saturday and take a test drive. Well, the rest as the say is history! I placed my order that day and have been enjoying my MINI since the end of August last year.

Congrats on the order, now comes the hard part.

Don't worry, you made the right choice! The trucks will always be around and later on down the road I am sure that they will offer E85 Ethanol crate motors that you can drop in that truck when you get it.

You will get one of the last of the good cars before the '07 which will be rock solid.

You will love it! I have a pickup truck that I did not sell to get my MINI and I love driving both the MINI and the truck.

Motor On
