I thought another hello was warranted. After trading in my 03 MCS two and a half years ago, I will be taking delivery of an 06 within the next week or so. I had the choice of two cars in dealer inventory AB/AB Cold, Sunroof, DSC, Armrest or HB/W Premium, Sport, Cold. My first MCS was a DS/W Premium, Sport, Cold, Autodim/Rainsense, HK.

After test driving a lovely BRG/B with the english leather seats I could not believe how different the 06 was from my 03. I had previously driven an 05 too and it seemed even better than that. Very very solid compared to the older ones with much better ride quality. It felt like a whole new car, I mean it was but you get the idea. The gear ratios etc. also made it very spunky.

So after realizing how great they now ride on 17s.....I'm going for the HB/W!!!! Hopefully I will pick it up next weekend, but it may have to wait until I get out of school for good three weeks from now. I think having her/him wait in the dealership for so long is just unfair...I will work something out.

Hello again after a long hiatus, too long in fact. And if anyone is curious, the two cars inbetween were a 97 M3 sedan and a 99 528i. Can't wait to have the nimble zippiness of the MCS back! CIAO

Welcome Back!

This must be the 4th such topic I've read this week, where a former MC owner that left has purchased again and returned. They're very special vehicles .

 

Hopefully the 06 will be the best, of the best, of the best!

 

I figured that the manufacturing process has gotten as perfected as it's going to get and went for the '06 as well. I plan to take a serious look again perhaps around the 08-09 model year after the refreshed MINI is released in '07.
