Hiya and welcome.
Ask away. There are plenty of people here with good info.

However, if you think your question may have been asked before, hit the search. If you don't, mixed in with your responses you'll get the mandatory "did you do a search first?!?" nastygrams.

03 MCS huh? Me too. And loving it.

Agro, Thanks for the reply and the welcome. I do know about the search feature but didn't find an answer to my question. I posted a question in the Tires, Wheels, Etc forum last night, so far few views and no responses. I may be new to this site but I'm not a total newbie as I've been tracking and AX'ing my 93 911 RS America for 5 years and have been co-drivng my wife's MCS for about a year @ BMWCCA AX events. We have loved the car from the day we flew to Buffalo NY to take delivery of and and drive it back to MA. Nice break in for us and the engine as we drove in cloudy weather to rainy weather to snow in western MA. Got lots of looks on the highway as well, as in March 2002 there were still not that many MCS on the road. Well the British Racing Green w/ white bonnet stripes, white roof, white mirrors may have had something to do with it.

Tha car has a soul and a name...Zippy!

Cool. I can't help you with tire/wheel questions. I only recently got rid of my run flats.
Snow? Rain? I don't think so! I moved to Vegas to avoid that stuff.

Welcome! Yes, you'll get lots of answers to you question here all right...lots and lots of answers.......all different and all right! So much depends on what you want for your MINI. So be prepared to filter lots of approaches to even the simplest question. In the end, it's a good thing because you'll have enough info to make the best choice for you.

To Agro and Cooper Guy, Donna& Mike, Gokartride, Thank you all for the wecomes. Gokartride, I know what you are talking about as I am a member of BMWCCA and PCA, ask for advice and 10 people will give you 9.5 opinions. I have my filters on "high". If anyone who actively tracks their MCS sees this please see my post in the Wheels, Tires Etc forum. I'm the message header "New, Need Help". 22 views no response. Perhaps I should post..."I'm an expert, want your expert adice"? My primary track car is Porsche 911 RS America, but my wife has gotten the track bug w/ MCS. And in closing, my wife saw yet another Porsche driver at the local Mini dealership today buying a MCS. That makes 7 PCA drivers that I personally know who also have a MCS in the garage. I think the secret is out, lots of car, lots of fun for not that much cash. Well until you start "modding" the car.

You can do basic mods for not much cash, to get the feel for it. A pulley, intake and exhaust can be done for under a grand if you are handy with tools or join a local MINI club. Those should get you right around 200hp which is pretty good for the cost of the car and the mods.

I see all of that in my future. Especially the CAI, pulley, and perhaps exhaust. We already have the wheels and tires for the job. Thanks
