I ordered mine from Classic MINI, which is conveniently located about 10 minutes from me.

 

I called today and was told that I am in production week 15 now...a week or two ago they said production week 14...why would that happen?

 

Probably because the man who puts the shift ***** on is out sick and you missed the cutoff before he called in?! Just kiddin'

 

You may not be too far off. Since they build to order, if they don't have the right parts for your order, they have to wait until the supplier can get them the parts...Flankman, did you order something out of the ordinary? -gary

 

Hey guys! Ok so I was told by ASKMINI that I was going to be week 15 production but I just called today and the guy said week 14? Wonder what happened between last week and this week but I guess they moved me up? I am in no way complaining! That means next week my MINI will be born!

 

I just called ask mini and they said that my mini started production yesterday and should be finished within the week! Add me to the list of week 14ers!

 

Wouldn't that put you in week 13?

 

Would it? I thought since my car was going to be finished during the beginning of April I was week 14. I could be wrong though.

 

I think it is when your car was first put into production? I am 99% sure but anyone chime in and set me straight if im wrong!

 

The automated ASKMINI says my car is In Production right now. When I talked to the human, he said it will be complete on April 1st. So technically that puts me in week 13 too. I was told by them some time ago that week 14 is April 3-7. They also told me to start calling every day now to get the "moment by moment" status, paint shop, assembly, etc. They said it will only take about 3 days total.

So as to the question, "can I be moved up a week?", I guess the answer is yes based on my situation. I'm not complaining of course

OK WTF So ive been calling ASKMINI every couple of days and have been talking with the guys there. I was told production would start week 15, then week 14, and then they told me there was no way to know yet! So i called yesterday and asked and they said it was definitely week 14 again! I call back today and the guy said there was no way to know and when I said I had already been given estimates for week 14 and 15 numerous time he goes "AHH I guess it just got loaded into the system, its definitely week 15!" Are these people just pulling numbers out of their *** or what!?!? Sorry just had to vent!

 

I called this morning and ask mini said that my cars production conpletion date is April 5th! So I guess I am in week 14... I really hope my car is finished soon. All of this waiting has been driving me crazy.:impatient

 

I called and they said my car would be completed April 6th! So I'm with all of you!

Flankmank and boarder054, so sorry to hear the troubles you're having with ASKMINI. That's weird. I guess if I really pressed them, they'd have had be jostling back and forth between week 13 and 14. Since my car is in production right now it would be week 13, but I've been told all along that my build week was 14.

Hello All,
Just found out my MINI will be scheduled for completion 4/6. Does that make me week 14 as well? Order placed 3/11. It's strange but it's always been "scheduled for production with no date" on ASK-MINI or the owners lounge up until today when it says it's scheduled for completion in roughly a week. Anyway no complaints...i can't wait!

 

Update: Called ASK-MINI they told me production will be completed April 3rd (one day ahead of the April 4th date I've been quoted all week). Since several individuals in a new thread around here have stated that they've been waiting at the port for upwards of 10 days, I'm worried there will be a bottleneck situation goin' on. Grr...just have to wait and see!

Oh, I almost forgot...I took the liberty of stopping by LB MINI tonight (on the way home) to take a look at an "almost" twin of my RG/RG MCS...its a wee bit more expensive than mine, but cosmetically its similar. Checking out that car for about five minutes has appeased me, for now.

 

I just got my VIN # by cutting and pasting the source from the miniusa owner's lounge. Just a few more days before she's built...the anticipation is killing me.

 

I ordered my MCS from Patrick MINI last Saturday and the production number came in same day. I've been checking miniusa owner's lounge all week and it just says "on order" for tracking status.

I'm hoping I'm week 14 (next week)...

 

....wow, I guessing Patrick doesnt sell at MSRP.
