My MA just called and told me that my car will be in later tonight or early tomorrow!!! I am so excited. I was thinking it was going to arrive early next week. Anyone else getting their car this weekend?

Can you believe it's less than a day wait now? It did go pretty fast didn't it?
Don't know if we'll cross paths at MOTD, but I'll be looking for all the MINIs with new/dealer plates. You'll probably have fewer miles than me, since I'll be driving from Ohio. I'll put around 500 miles on the odometer just getting there .

I'll have a "SkateMom" vinyl on the back window and I'll probably be wearing purple too.

I'm still waiting for my car; it's at the dealer in New York, but needs to be put on a truck for California. Must. Be. Patient...

 

Hey bobdobbs...sounds like were in the same boat, or "train" ...mine gets loaded Wednesday, hopefully, then another 2-3 weeks. still much quicker than if I had ordered locally...

 

Yup, mine is due to ship out on Wednesday too. Is it by train?

but alas now it will be next Sat. as some of you already probably read, my mini was "damaged" when they put it on the truck to go the dealership and needs a new rim. So the poor thing is waiting at the VDC. Congrats to those picking up this weekend. I am very jealous!

 

From what I heard it's via train. Paperwork is being worked on as we speak...hopefully will have complete before Wednesday...

 

My original estimated delivery date was 4/29 (tomorrow). Yesterday, it changed to 4/30 (Sunday, when the dealer's closed) and my MA said that it's not here yet, and that I'd probably be getting it early next week.

The closer I get to delivery, the harder the waiting gets. I'm also jealous of you guys who are getting your 2nd/3rd/Nth MINI.... I'm still waiting for my first one!

 

Bummer, sorry your Mini was damaged. That was good of them to explain what happened; however, rather than giving you some story.

I'll keep an eye out for you guys..my Mini will just be plain..no "bling" yet.

NOW it seems to have gone by fast..23 hours and 9 minutes to go (but who's counting)....but that's all part of the experience.

I just drove past Classic's lot and saw my MINI! Now I just need to get ahold of my MA and find out when I can pick it up!

I really like the way yours looks with the bonnet stripes...I may have to reconsider those!

It was great motoring around today...took my wife out to several garden shops, down some back country roads with a few little twisties. At one garden shop a lady stood watching as we were backing up to get out of the parking space and had this huge grin on her face, looking at the MINI...so we waved back.

Got a wave from another MINI also.

I also saw this lovely Purple Haze MCS.... I'm pretty sure that it's Skatemom's.... it sure seems to match the spec in her sig. The white S-Lites really look good with the purple.

 

Clancy! Clancy! Clancy! What a pal! Gosh I couldn't ask for a better surprise. I haven't been online all day and now it's 11:30 PM and I'm just now checking my computer (been sewing ALL day, making the coolest thing) so imagine how happy I was to see the pictures of my MINI!!!!

Your car looks beautiful! One of the coaches at the rink has an'04 BRG/B and I think the green is so elegant. Up close it looks so pretty.

[FONT=Verdana]Well, Saturday was the beat and worst day for me. I went out to my 98 Jeep Wrangler this morning so I could head to the dealership to pick up my new MINI. I had been having trouble with it for a while but I still had been able to start it. I tried everything but it wouldn't start. I ended up calling triple A and about an hour later I was on my way to the dealership. As soon as I drive in I saw my car and all of the frustration went away immediately. I have been driving everywhere ever since. I will post pics in the next few days.[/FONT]

Congrats MINIBar on the change-over to perma-grin. Sounds like the Jeep has been a PITA. That feeling of making you happy when you see your MINI isn't just a one time thing, it happens every time

Whee! I picked up my MINI just after 5:00 this afternoon, and finally made it home (just after 10:00). I just love it. I'll get some more pics posted after I have something to eat.

 

3 new pics in my gallery... unfortunately, a lot of the pics I took didn't turn out so well...I was too excited and couldn't hold the camera still!

 

Yes, ma'am! I sure did! It's so much fun! I got it at 5 and I just got in from driving. Hahaha! That means I drove for literally 5 hours in it! Also, my MA was super awesome! One time when I was in test driving a mini (a couple of months ago)... I said I liked the bulldog mini keychain. She remembered and threw one in - she also gave me the stuffed mini bulldog, a polo and toffee! She rocks! If anyone is planning to buy in Chicago, go to Patrick and visit Jen! She's the best!
