New MC40 owner

Hello - just introducing myself as the proud owner of MC40 #30/1000. I've been lurking the boards and have had my MCS for almost a month now and love it. Unfortunately I just got a big chip in my windshield last Friday. I had it repaired for free under my insurance policy but I can still see the spider lines.

So far my MCS has handled like a champ and I love pushing any curves I can find and scaring my wife My only gripe right now is when I hit unforseen potholes....the sound is way more painful than the ride. :impatient The though of mushroomed towers are frightful.

Glad to hear you're having fun with a truly specail ride, Can't wait too see some photos! If you do a search you might be able to find more info the the windscreen, I'm not very knowledgble about those yet though.

congrats! welcome...and enjoy - but please post some photos in your gallery ..as far as the spider lines, I wasn't aware they could fix that anyway..they should have just replaced it.

I guess I could've replaced it but that would've been a $250 deductible.

Get used to chips and cracks in the windshield...

The Mini glass cracks, the PPG pits, but doesn't crack. Since the windshield is so close to vertical, and we tend to drive, uh, a bit fast, things hit it hard.

Just a fact of Mini life!

Welcome to the team....
