Here she is, my "Stella" - 2006 chili red S. She was a surprise from hubby. She was sprung on me this past November.

So sweet of your hubby Valentine's Day is Monday... how's he gonna top this?!?

 

Yes, he's a sweetheart. We had both always been a fan of V8s and lots of horses - previous Corvette nuts. However, I drove a MINI S last April and was seriously hooked. So, he ordered my car on the sly.

Yes, Valentine's Day AND our 18th anniversary... We're planning a trip to the U.K. for the fall. So, that will just have to do. See, you can do this kind of stuff - drive MINIs, go on trips, etc... when the kids get close to or leave the nest.

Thank you. The scenery wasn't bad on the Blueridge Parkway either - where the pic was taken. It was so quiet up there that the silence was truly deafening....weird.

 

Congratulations on the 18 years of marital bliss and, off course, the new MINI too! Did your face just light up when you saw your new ride?

I know I was smiling from ear to ear when my husband and I picked up my 05 Chili Red MCS at the Moritz MINI in Arlington, TX. Unlike your husband, mine cannot do surprises if his life depended on it. He told me what he wanted to do and we ordered it together, just the way I wanted it. It was in celebration of our 8th wedding anniversary. Best gift I have ever received from him and I don't think he could do better in the future.
