Just ordered, but mini site says wrong color?

Hi, I too have joined the motorists of the world, I ordered my DS MCS from Mini of the Hamptons (great, great, great service by the way) yesterday 1/26 and he scanned me the order today with a production number. Calling ASK-MINI they said my vehicle is scheduled for production but has no date yet. The order says under Req. Prod, Sub. Prod, and Conf. Prod:

Yr / Mo / Wk
2006 / 02 / 07

Does this mean I'm week 7 production?

The mini site owners lounge, under my Prod. number, lists a Chili Red MCS. My MA told me he might try to squeeze into their current orders if one could fit my options, wondering if it was cuz I ordered this morning and no update to the miniusa website, or if something else has occurred.

This is a common problem, the MINIUSA site frequently shows inaccurate specifications when the order is placed. My suggestion, call Ask MINI, speak to a live person, and have them confirm that the order is correct. If Ask MINI has the correct specs, then don't worry about the website being wrong. However if Ask MINI has the wrong info too then you'll need to have your MA look into the problem and get it fixed...

it takes a while for the production website to show your exact build specifics... the way the production schedule works, your car takes the place of the next car that your dealership (Mini of Hamptons) was going to get, that wasn't already spoken for (so one that was just going to be on their lot). so they will eventually update the specs of that generic car to be your specific car...

welcome to the club!

Babischkin is right by the way, you do need to check at some point to make sure they don't leave something off your car. Just don't panic if it isn't all there at first glance...

yeah, I figured as much.

On a side note, do those production dates mean anything?

Newbie Here...I was just going to ask that same question!

Hello, Everyone!

What a great forum.

I'm in CT and just put a deposit down on an Astro Black MCS this weekend. Today (Monday) I got my tracking number and it shows a Sparkling Silver MCS. Any idea how long it takes for the correct info to show? Also, how to I contact ASK MINI?

Thanks!
