new to Mini- coming from BMW
Hello everyone. I am new to the board and to Mini in general. I have been researching the cars for some time and finally will take delivery of my MCS convertible this Friday. I have owned several BMW's including recently an E46 M3 cabriolet. I hope to enjoy my new Mini very much, and feel that part of this is the fun that can be had modifying the car and sharing experiences with fellow entheusiasts. I hope to enjoy the car as is, for a while and do my research as far as what mods to perform. My goal is to keep the car low hassle, and low key. I do not want to attract any attention at the dealer with any of my mods, but would like to improve the flavor of the car without going overboard. The car will not be tracked, but will be enjoyed every day. Any advice would be appreciated.
e46 m3??? The last of the good body style. Too bad you can't have that AND the MCS

Hello from Paradise!
Okay, once you drive a MINI, you won't have as much fun with anything else. I have driven Mustangs, Corvettes, a funny little German car, Vans, Busses, Dump Trucks and Police Cars, nothing is as much fun as the MINI...briefly said: You're hooked...
Mick
P.S. Now that you have it, what are you going to do with it?

Not sure what to do with it. I am having the 3M clear bra installed, along with having the windows tinted. I also plan to get the I-pod wire to hook it up to the car's stereo. Beyond that I have been hearing about s/c pullies, exhaust, intake, catch can, sways... the list goes on. I think I will drive the car stock for a while and see how I like it before I start spending money on performance mods. Also I am not sure how the dealers look at mods. I used to have an Aud S4 that was very easy to modify, and the dealerships were very strict about looking for mods and voiding your warranty. I do not want to do that with this car, so I will do my research and ask before I mod. Thanks in advance for answering all the questions I am sure to have next week.
