I need a little help, the cables for my 02 mini S inside door handle latches are not working properly. Dealer says the cable have stretched and need to be replaced(5 hours labor plus parts). I have had the door panels off, was hoping someone could help by giving the ins and outs of doing this myself.

Dealers do complete door handle replacement 1 hr per side so 5 hrs is abit of a puzzle.Step 1 go to dealer get cables.Step 2 take panels off both doors (use 1 door as a reference while you do the other).There are referrance threads on door panel re-re in this and other (motoring file)to check out.If you dont feel confortable get another Mini dealer to quote you before you go the 5hr route.
