Oil Filter Canister

Can anyone tell me ware on the web I can get a new oil filter canister. The nearest MINI dealer to me is a 3 hr. drive. I like to drive my mini but don't have the time. I won't to use the new canister to tap it for a oil temp. sensor

Or try http://forums1.roadfly.com/mini/forums/partscounter/ and see what they would charge to ship one to you.

Have you considered using the drain plug temp probe?

oil filter canister

I put my oil temp. sensor in the oil drain plug and it works great. I don't like the way the wires and the probe are sticking down. I am running temps around 200 to 210 can any body tell me if these temps are average.
