Ordered mine on 11/16... still waiting for the production #. I emailed the dealer yesterday about it, hopefully I'll get one soon!

We ordered on the same day but I am still awaiting the magic number. Where did you order from?

I have been regaling my dinner companions about my newly ordered MINI but deep down I know that the order is not truly valid until I have my production number. This makes me some sort of imposter in some deep dark sense and will no doubt lead to the need for further psychoanalytic analysis....

MINI help me !!!! I need my number !!!!!

Bill

Start making my car already, I am sick of waiting

Days waited so far: 10

Anyone else get their status changed from On Order to something else?

Shortly after I made that post MINI of Mountain View replied to my email saying they just got the production #, and gave it to me! Beautiful!

MINIUSA says production status is on order... i'll probably be calling ASKMINI daily until they give me a production week.

i'm thinking about naming it Rue the Whirl... after a wonderful Boards of Canada song, but I won't make the final decision until I'm in the drivers seat.

I ordered my MINI November 12th. Should I have gotten a Production order number by now?

Did the dealer you're ordering from say you'll be assigned one fairly quickly, or was there a waiting period? You only get the production number after your waiting period's over. Then there's another two-month waiting period while you watch your car float across the small pond to the east.

JUST GOT MY PRODUCTION NUMBER !!!!

It came in yesterday and I called the dealer today to get it. Great thing is that it was accepted right away into the "Owners' Lounge" (indicating it to be "on order").

The dealer confirmed that the car will be produced in the first week of January (wow - a REAL 2006 !) and delivered to the dealership the last week of January. I hope that all those factory workers are over their holiday hangovers by the time my baby rolls down the line....

It has been fun being part of this thread - but I am thrilled to finally have my number....

Looks like I've graduated!

Just called ASKMINI. My car hits production next week. I think that makes me 50, or 51.

We may well be founding members of the "Week One" crowd. Got my number on Dec 1 too and after he consulted his system he said that first week in January was target for production.

Little egg and Goaljnky have a production number but no build week yet. We are hoping for a Week 1 build date. But until we get to that we are impatiently hanging out here with the others, suffering, till our Mini gets here.

Thinking about that, that means we are in the first trimester of Mini pregnancy. Second trimester will be when we have a build week. The third will be when our Little Green Egg is on the boat.

And my mini pregnancy is only one week along. The egg has been fertilized, but still the size of a gnat. I have the pregnancy of a human while the rest of you have the pregnancy of a cat

Whoops, a bit of a late reply.

Enjoying it mightily. Went out on a drive with the guys from PSMINI on Sunday (they're a fun group). And I did get to drive in the snow (it was even covering the roads a bit in N. Seattle (Greenwood/Phinney).

Wow - I was away for the weekend and in the meantime I saw that "Maggie" (trying that name on for size - no commitment yet...) has moved from "on order" to "scheduled for production". The dealer said that I might be part of the "Week One" production so this seems early - but I am not complaining !!

What are other peoples' experience after Moving to Production - how long does it take before birth happens and the little one is ready for her boat ride???

I am much too excited for my own good - knowing I have a long time to wait still.....

Just received my production number for my 2006 PW/PW Cooper CVT.

When I first punched in the number into the Owner's Lounge over the weekend, it was showing it as a Pure Silver! I called ASK-MINI this morning, and they verified that the build is correct. It now properly shows up as Pepper White on the Owner's Lounge.

The status is now "On Order"

Here are my specs

Pepper White Body Color

Body Color Roof/Mirrors
Chrome Line Exterior
Chrome Mirror Caps

Cold Weather Package
Convenience Package

Dynamic Stability Control
CVT Automatic
15" 5-Star Rockets (Performance)
Front Fog Lamps
Rear Fog Lamp
Xenon Headlamps w/Power Wash

Sport Seats
Cloth/Leather: Octagon Tartan Red
Chrome Line Interior
Int. Surface "Seven" Piano Black
Center Arm Rest
Automatic AC
Park Distance Control
Computer Nav. System
On-Board Computer
3-Spoke w/Cruise and Multifunction
6-spkr AM/FM CD Player

I guess I'm gonna start devouring these threads now
