How much time at Distribution Center?

My '06 PW/B MCS is due to dock tomorrow in Charleston, SC. I know from there it goes to the Distribution Center before heading to the dealer here in Atlanta. How long will he be at the DC and what do they do to the car there?
Then, how long is it at the dealer before I can pick him up? Now that he's getting so close the waiting is ever harder!

Annette,

It shouldn't take too long. My MCS was unloaded on a Saturday afternoon & was at my dealer the following Thursday. Too bad for me they goofed the order up.

What they do is remove the plastic covering, clean it up & recheck everything on the car. When it gets to the dealer they do a PDI...short for predelivery inspection. Hang in there the waits almost over for you.

Bummer for you

When did you find out the order was goofed up? And then you had to re-order and wait all over again???? I hope they make it up to you somehow. I've checked my order with ASKMINI a few times, but I'm not going to believe it til I see it!
You are a patient man!
Thanks for the reply though, I don't know how I'll wait another week!

It depends how many cars are being processed at the VPC, but it shouldn't honestly take more than a couple days. I believe my MINI spent about a day there, because it arrived on the ship Oct 2rd and it arrived at my dealer Oct 6th.

They usually do some checking to see if any damage was taken while shipping over and fix it.

I found out the day I went to get my car. I'd paid for the car & was ready to leave when I saw the car had the wrong dash finish. Went inside got my money back & reordered on the spot. It was hard wating the first time & this time it feels even worse. I want my MINI the way I speced it, so there's no other choice for me other than wait. You won't have any problems with yours. You've checked & it's ok. I didn't check mine & that turned out to be a huge mistake for me. I have checked the spec this time!
