Yep, Mini of Peabody. Mine came in on the Toledo on Saturday. Given what my MA told me, that they were getting the car in tomorrow, I'd expect that you car is at the dealership right now. Did you order any dealer installed stuff? That might be why they haven't called you. Might try calling ASK-MINI as its a little late to get your MA to see if its actually there.

Mini's on its way!

My MA was off today, but another one was kind enough to look up our car, and he said that it's due at the dealership (Mini of St. Louis) on Dec. 23 (EDD on the OL was Dec. 21, but I knew that wasn't going to happen) and that it should be ready just after Christmas.

I sold my 330ci Monday and stopped into MoP and picked up the new Cooper S last night. Mini of Peabody has been great so far and Joel was on top of all the details. I could not get there until 7:45PM and my wife was already hungry (dangerous when hungry) and Joel got us on our way quickly which scored big points. I had never been there before but the office is nice and it is neat to see so may Mini's in one palce and since it is the only car they sell the uninform parking rows are good for a grin.

I hope all of you get yours soon. Silly little hot rod cars... me likee.

Dave

Yeah, I got an email from my MA today saying it wasn't looking as good as he first thought. He still held out some hope, but more likely it'll be next week. Sort of makes me want to pick it up after the 1st to avoid this years excise tax, not that its that big a $$$ deal, but it is annoying. Wonder if I can stand to wait a couple of extra days. Doubt it.

MoP guys, our cars, well at least mine, is in! The only rub is that the paperwork has yet to arrive and the car can't be titled and released to me until that happens. If it gets in this afternoon or tomorrow morning, I pick it up tomorrow night. If not, next week sometime. Call you MA to find out the deal on yours, maybe your paperwork is in already.

A sad story that I too am living, went and saw "gosomer Mini" today she looks awesome, same deal with the paperwork, Brig said tomorrow at 11am the fed ex man comes and hopefully with them trhe title will come. found out the hardway I ordered the checkmate package and the bonnet stripe was left off, I forgot to mention it on ordering I guess, so I'm thinking of haveing a silever checker bonnet stripes made for it instead of the new styl;e and get a chrome hood intake, any opinions appreciated.

Hopefully you caught a glimpse of Elford too while you were there. I left off the stripes as I was thinking that I preferred the style of the silver stripe, but as they don't offer that in black with black roof, I figured I'd try to get creative later on. Checkers are cool. I'd vote

No papers for me . Looks like Monday at the earliest. Might have to go see him. Its Christmas and the thought of Elford sitting there waiting to be united with his new family is too sad. At least he'll be there with all his travelmates. Hope the scrooges responsible for not getting the papers there in time are visited by three spirits tomorrow night.

Well to all you gents (and their female counterparts) who're still waiting, all I can say is, its worth that wait. What a very fun little car. How do I know? Well I picked mine up today. Only 60 miles so far, heading out again tonight to exercise the Xenons, but it is, as I'm sure you already know, an exceptionally enjoyable machine. Here's to motoring!

Yippee, redux

Our MA just called and said that our Mini arrived at the dealership yesterday. Unfortunately, between work and family obligations this weekend, we won't be able to pick it up until Monday. Oh well -- a few more days won't kill us (knock wood).

Hi Folks,
I've been lurking for awhile and thought I'd jump into the fray. A couple of days ago the message in he OL finally changed from "en route" to at VDC and I was given a delivery date of Jan 1 06. So I figure sometime next week I should be able to pick up my MINI! I've found the wait kind of frustating, since the west coast cars have to wait so much longer for the tansit phase than do the east coast cars and I didn't have any info on ship name or exact departure date. So I've been hoping for an early January delivery but not certain that that would happen. But things look good now! https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...lies/smile.gif

Welcome aboard! Glad to draw you out of the shadows. Getting our MINIs sooner here in the East is nice, OTOH, you've got a bit better weather to drive them in. Be months before the sand is off the roads around here. Congrats, enjoy and best of luck!

Hi Solstice, can you tell me when your Mini was built and then put on a boat? Mine is heading to SoCal but I have no idea when it is supposed to get here or how long it takes to get from England to here. Graci!

I didn't even know my car was going into production until I saw that it was already built--that was on Nov 20th.

Since it never showed up on the WW shipping site I only know that it shipped around December 1st. I called my MA to see if he had specific shipping info and he told me it was scheduled to ship on the 1st--but no name of ship or shipping line etc. I probably wouldn't have minded not knowing that stuff except that so many other people had so much specific information. Its kind of strange to be plunked into the middle of a complex process (shipping cars from Europe to the US) and to have it matter!

But from other info I have seen 23-25 days seems to be the target for a west coast shipment. And that close to what mine took--asssuming it really did leave on the 1st.

BTW I'm in New Mexico, so the delivery date has a trucking component to it as well. I hope it really does show up in the next couple of days!

Thanks Solstice and I hope your Mini arrives in the next few days. Mine was finished on Nov 23rd but didn't ship til the 13th of December...20 days at the dock. So it should arrive around the 8th to 10th according to your shipping info. I actually want it to be as late as possible now as I have new rims on backorder due in Feb that I want to put on when mine arrives. I don't want to put many miles on the tires before I sell them. Once they arrive, there will be 4 relatively new white holeys 4 sale on Ebay.

ok ok I'm lieing...get the damn car here!!!!!

It's Here!

I couldn't be more excited! I picked up my Mini Cooper yesterday and it was awesome. It's been such a long wait, but I agree with rjmann, DEFINATELY worth it.

We picked up our Mini this morning, and I drove him (no name yet) home in the rain. Lots of fun! Don't worry, Fitch -- you'll have yours soon!

I just cheked the OL this morning and my delivery date has been pushed back to Jan 9 from Jan 1st A whole other week to wait. Its kind of frustrating . . . but it will get here eventually.

Congrats Sunnyhorse!! and now the motoring adventure begins for you! Woot Woot!! . Solstice, I don't see estimated delivery dates on the OL. Where are you looking? I wonder if it shows for some people and not for others, like me. Maybe mine is stuck on the high sea's too. The weather has been very bad so maybe they delayed their west coast voyage from Panama...or maybe they docked in Mexico and hooked up with Sammy Hagar at Cabo Wabo and pounded too much tequila. Oh no!!! My Mini is on that ship!!!
