Today I called 866 ASK-MINI to find out the status of Abby as usual. Much to my surprise I was told she will be completed on July 5th!!! Uh oh...I was hoping for a later date so I can scrape together some more $$$ for the down payment.

A favor to anybody who reads this. Please wish me luck on getting financing and insurance. *crosses fingers*

 

Good luck man, I'm going through the same thing, though it looks like my story will have a happily ever after.

Definitely take a look at the mini-select program. With straight financing my monthly payment was looking to be about 375 on a 60 mo plan. With mini select my payments look to be 260 for four years. After the four years I'll owe a baloon payment of 10,000, but I can refinance that at the time.

 

Thats great news!! I ordered mine on June 6th and when I called they told me it was tentatively scheduled for production on the 27th week of July, thats july 4th week. Still no firm date though...

 

Called 866 ASK-MINI today as usual and the automated message said Abby is finished and is on her way to the docks!!!

 

Since I have the VIN number, I said what the heck and entered it in Wallenius Wilhelmsen's tracking page. I found out that Abby is booked on a ship named Isolde and she's set to sail from Southampton on July 7 and arrive in NY (actually NJ ) on July 15th!!!
