Hi, my name is Dave and I just bought two minis. Okay, skip the next 12 steps. Here's the facts. First one - my wife's - is a 2005 normally aspirated MC. Purple Haze, black top. Mostly a basic Mini, but cute cute and loads of fun. I tokk her to pick it up in my Dodge Ram. The fates were smiling. Lost my valves on the way home (imagine that). I used to drive sports cars. My last was the original Audi Quattro. Fast, torquey, handled great and gorgeous. But, no one could fix it - parts were generally not available. So I gave up on cars and have been tooling around in trucks for some years. But, I got the fever when I drove my wife's Mini.

Went off to the dealership to look at a 2004 MCS - loaded. Almost bought it, but behind me was a 2003 JCW, same 12000 miles and only a couple of thou more (or so). I looked at her, she looked at me. Soul mates. EB, white roof with black & white checkered sunroof and mirrors, white 8 spokes 17" run-flats, aero kit, all the packages, leather seats, nav, HK premium stereo. No JCW brakes or suspensaion and no LSD, but who's complaining.

Like everything else I get my hands on, I'll probably be pulling it apart soon and making modifications. Will have tons of questions to post. I have been cruisaing this site. Great people, great insights. I thought I'd say hi to all and happy to be part of your community.

Make sure you give your wife a nice, long, wet one good bye. With two Minis you will not see her for a while. Hope your garage is comfortable.

Two-MINI families: YAY! But if you thought you'd get HELP for your MINI addiction here, you are WRONG! We will only egg you on in your addiction, and applause you for every mod you do!

Welcome to the club, friend! Happy motoring to you and wifey!

If its worth doing..ots worth OVER doing. Good for you. Other than not needing another car, I wouldn't hesitate too much in becoming a 2 Mini family.
