YES! YES! What's the update!

YES! YES! What's the update!

My husband said he wanted a Mini and I flipped out, got mad because I wanted something else and I even made him agree that after we test drove Mini, we'd test drive the car I wanted.

Ahem...you all know what happens next. I was hooked. We bought a Mini and her boat has just hit the USA. And looks who reads this site everyday....it's me!!!!! Not Hubby!

Curious minds want to know - what was the object of your desire prior to your visit to the Mini showroom?

I am so embarrassed to share . ha ha... I REALLY am!

I park in a garage at home and at work (maybe 10-15 mile drive) and FINALLY convinced Hubby that a smaller car equals less gas (at that time gas was $3.08 here) and fewer door dings at work. I have had two people in big vehicles back out and get hung up on my Tahoe. All it does is mark it and we can buff it out...but it's just the fact that it even happens!!!! GGGrrrrr....EVERYONE drives big honking SUVs and you barely have room to get out of your own car. So we were going to just look at getting a used convert. Beetle Bug...something fun and cheaper to drive since the others are paid for. Went to test drive and the moron salesman couldn't find a key. Told him to call back when he found it. He didn't find it, they had to get a new one made...would be ready in 10 days. Hubby suggested going to the Woodlands to test drive a Mini that weekend and the kicker was that rediculous USED convert. Bug cost as much as a new Mini!!!!!!!!! The cost plus the test drive made me drunk on Mini and all those other cool features just added to the intoxication. I saw on here that people have had dreams about Minis and when I started to dream about them I knew it was the only car for me.

It was fun when the Beetle salesman called back to say he had a key for me! I THANKED him for losing it because we never would have gone for a test drive and started the Mini obsession!! He was NOT pleased!

And yes, I will be going to work earlier to get one of the side spots so only ONE person can park beside me and hopefully it's my friend who also has a new Mini....
