New to the forum, new to modding Minis
Hey gang,
I'm new to the forum and working on Minis, but I just started to upgrade my F60 Countryman. I usually scratch my mechanical itch by working on my Aprilia, but I've hit the point where I am satisfied with my build, so I had decided it was time to show my Mini some love. The only car work I have ever done are mods to my van to accomodate hauling my motorcycle to the track, so this is definitely new territory for me.
Started off with a Dinan stage 1 tune, filter and resonator. That made the car incredibly fun to drive, so I moved on to suspension and wheels. I installed a NM Engineering 25mm rear sway bar with Maxx-G sway bar links today and now it's starting to feel like a go cart in the best way possible. I've got a new set of wheels (Stance SP08 19x8.5 35mm offset) and tires (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4) coming in a week or so and lowering springs arriving on monday. New brake pads and rotors are going on tomorrow and I'm painting the calipers since they'll be more visible with the new wheels.
I picked up a lot of install tips from the forum already, so I'm looking forward to participating. I'm new to working on cars, but I have to imagine all the skills I have working on motorcycles will translate. Been fun so far.
Nice to meet everyone!
