Hello! New to the forum but I've been lurking since 2017. I own a 2012 Mini Cooper S hardtop 6spd. It just ticked over 110k and really have had any issues up until a few months ago(separate thread).
Otherwise the Mini life is GREAT! such a fun little car that can also move out decently quick for a stock car and is incredible on fuel. The car came with the JCW Aero package which is perfect for the car. Ive added GP rear under tray and an AEM CAI. Im also located in Southern NH, lots of Mini enthusiasts around these parts but i'll be honest I'm more of an Audi addict when it comes to meet ups and what not. I am interested in tracking the car, that was the summer plan buts due to engine issues we aren't there yet.
Seems like this forum is wealth of knowledge!

I'm in Southwest Connecticut. Recently attended the MINIs On Top event/rally up Mount Washington, planning to go to MINIs At The Glen next month. I'm a converted VW/Audi owner, and I'll just say I find these cars (the Gen II version) to be a much better, more reliable vehicle than anything VW/Audi was producing in the same time frame. While Audi specifically did have options that 'outperformed' MINI, the cost of those vehicles - and ability to work on them - was nowhere near what you get with MINI. Literally, every one of the 7 VWs I drove for the 10 year period from 2013-2023 was a non-stop chase to keep the MIL from illuminating.
Perhaps I'll see you at an event - Happy Motoring!
