Back on the site with Mini #3, and realized I never did an into post first time around. Former Submariner living in south east CT. Wife was raised on British & German fun cars. Her dad went to SCCA Nationals for Mini Formula in ‘86 I think, but he mostly raced Grendel (‘72 Super Beetle with a black (rust) eye). My loves are Jeeps, Minis & Motorcycles…

- Lady Godiva - ‘08 Pepper White R52 S Sidewalk ed. Spent a year and a half looking for the right replacement for Godiva & finally found her. Wife named her Lady Godiva since she goes around topless…. Lot of work already done by PO. Blast of a car to pick up and keep tweaking! WMW mild street cam, CS 17% & 2% pulleys, JCW 380CC injectors, Valeo DMF to single flywheel/clutch, Quicksilver single exhaust (coming out - too loud with the top up, and exactly the wrong harmonic for my tinnitus…), Milltech Cat Back Resonated S/JCW exhaust just shipped from today ECS. Realized while typing this, I ordered the R53 vice R52, so I get to sort that out tomorrow. DOH! Started laying generic Dynamat down in the boot to take the edge off the quicksilver drone last weekend. Fun part for that will be finding a donor part out that I can hack the battery tray out of and put back in Lady Godiva. Long term project is learning my way around INPA & NCS expert/dummy. Lots of awesome threads helping me get up to speed…

No more motorcycles due to medical reasons. Wife suggested a JCW to fill the gaping hole left behind. Finally found one I liked. ‘05 R52 S JCW. 144k. SC damn near silent at rock stable idle. Don’t know when it was serviced, but damn it’s quiet. Fixed both sides of the Top Looking Hook set so now the top works automagically again. Current task on the list is sorting the audio wiring. PO attempted to install an Alpine CDE-HD137BT. Steering controls work well, as does the left door tweeter... Digging under the passenger seat, I found an Alpine KTP-445U tie wrapped in pink insulation (WTF… really?) instead of the HK amp, and a butchered wiring harness. Thank god for the threads here with the HK connector pin outs…
Looking at some 18” wheels tomorrow to replace the 15’s she’s riding on now for some ungodly reason. She’s going in Monday for a new clutch, fluids, & AC service. Very much looking forward to blasting down the road in this wee beastie!
