Hello everyone,
We have had our 2004 cooper since November 2003. It has been great car for us. My GF has been using it as a small truck for her landscaping business for a few years now. She is something of a mini herself just over 5'. her motto has been if the job is too big for the mini, it's too big for me. las week a young man in an F150 turned left out of oncoming traffic in front of her and she wasn't able to stop in time. Her sweet mini did its job in protecting her but unfortunately, this was it's final action.
Despite many people trying to talk her out of another mini for reliability reasons, my gf really wants another to replace the old one. She can’t really see herself driving anything else. As an Audi guy I understand the cost of ownership can be breathtaking but it’s something we come to terms with to drive a car we are comfortable in.
She has driven a newer Countryman S and found the seats to be too long for her wee pegs. We think this is particular to the S seats with the extendable thigh bolster. She would like a 4dr. An all four would be preferable.
We are looking for advice/recommendations about years and models with the least issues. Manual preferred but she's open to the possibility of an Auto but no CVT. Not looking to buy new but I guess its not out of the question.
Cheers and Thank you all in advance for your insights.
