Just bough a used R55 last week. It was registered out of state but I was finally able to get it registered in the Peoples Republic of California. Talked to the original owner and he dropped a custom cat back Flowmaster system to get it smog legal and he also installed a bigger turbo so getting an oil change at a drive up express spot is impossible now. The owner I bought it from put a pear white wrap on it. All that said, it's a blast to drive and no regrets on this end.
