Massachusetts checking in!
Hi y'all! In full disclosure, this is the second mini forum I have joined. Unfortunately, the first one does not seem to have much traffic as I don't get much in the way of responses. Anyways...
I purchased my first mini two weeks ago. It needs some work, but that's part of the fun, right? It's a 2010 Cooper S Convertible in Horizon Blue Metallic and has what ever option package includes heated seats, navigation, and Harman Kardon sound. It's a 6-speed manual with 38,000 miles... but she's been used and abused... she was towed behind an RV repeatedly from NY to Florida. It has all this extra crap on the lower front grill and the rear bumper that I have to rip out. If anyone wants that hardware then just shoot me a PM; I'll have no use for it once it's removed.
I said I purchased "my" first mini... but that's not exactly accurate. I actually purchased it for my wife for our 15'th anniversary in April. Hopefully I'll have all the bugs figured out by then. So far the list includes:
1. The roof. It only opens to stage 1 (i.e. the sunroof only). I know this is a common problem area but I'll be leaning on y'all once I have more info.
2. The front tweeters don't work at all and one of the rear speakers is blown.
3. It's throwing a code for a MAF Sensor. I ordered a Bosch replacement.
4. Appearance... it looks like the front has been sandblasted from one of the RV wheels.
